Once the set for many Hollywood westerns, by the late 60’s a run down place to rent horses.

Spahn allowed Charlie Manson and his ‘family’ to live in the movie sets in exchange for chores, and sexual favors from Manson’s young girls, notably future would-be presidential assassin Squeaky Fromme.

Spahn gave Charles Watson the nickname “Tex” for his accent.
